RE: Storm Damage / Required Roofing
During the recent storm, many residents experienced hail damage and already signs are popping up in yards from various roofing companies. Please be aware of the roofing requirements in the deed restrictions as to color and quality. It reads as follows:
30 year dimensional shingles by Oakridge or Owens Corning or approved equal – Weathered Wood, Slate or Charcoal color must be used.
Roofers will be offering you a “deal” and insurance companies often offer settlement amounts using a lesser product than what is specified.
Builders active in Whitley Place are using 30 year Owens Corning in Weathered Wood to meet specifications as well as Owens Corning, Oak Ridge Tru Def – color Driftwood (a dimensional laminate with lifetime warranty).
Please do not accept an inferior product from roofing contractors or insurance adjusters.
